LATEST NEWS CHRISTMAS CAROLS
Members of the congregation of Long
Street Methodist church will be singing Christmas hymns and
carols outside the church garden on Long Street on Saturday 17
December, between 10.30 and noon.
This is part of the church's plans to open up the church and
garden, and there will be a series of events on Saturdays from
springtime onwards
Shoppers and passers-by will be invited to
listen, or join in, and also to enjoy a cup of coffee and a mince pie.
Refreshments are served every Saturday
morning at Long Street, proceeds going to the Methodist Relief and
Development Fund for overseas aid. The proceeds of any donations for
the carol singing will be earmarked for the Biblelands charity, which
supports the vulnerable and disadvantaged in that part of the middle
east
SUMMER EVENTS The Friends of Long Street Methodist are currently planning a series of events for Saturday's aimed at opening up our beautiful Church and Gardens to the people of Middleton. There will be a mix of entertainment, leisure and learning. Check back for more information in the new year |
