FRIENDS OF LONG STREET METHODIST
Friends of Long Street Methodist is governed by a committee
consisting of people with a link to the Methodist Church and
congregation and also people with a background in the historic
environment.
During the
last year we have been focusing on producing a plan of action to help
galvanise our way forward. Key areas of this plan include: -
- Making
more people aware of the value of Long Street Methodist Church and
subsequently increasing membership of The Friends of Long Street
Methodist Church. We are also planning exclusive events for Friends
and also discussing how we can provide extra benefits for those who
become Friends.
- Making
Long Street Methodist Church more accessible and allowing more
opportunities to better inform the public about our community and
our building.
- Improving
the use of the ancillary buildings by obtaining feedback and
ensuring value for money. Subsequently we need to increase the use
of some of the smaller rooms.
- Exploring
long-term opportunities for the role and use of the buildings.
